TWR-Africa received an inspiring letter which we would love to share with you.  The writer, Mr C, started corresponding with TWR in 2003 when he was still an unbeliever and was going through terrible challenges.

He is a teacher and relocated to Namadzi (situated halfway between Blantyre and Lilongwe in Malawi).  As he was new in the area and saw the needs at the school where he had just started teaching, he started growing vegetables to supply to a shop in the town.  He used the money to buy extra books and other provisions for the school and also instituted a “Bible Club” as he calls it.

Around the same time he unfortunately lost his son, whom Mr C testifies was the one who led him to Christ.  His son had just turned 14 when he died.  We can only speculate on the cause of the boy’s death, but we know that he was sick for a very long time.

The records show no correspondence for a long time, but one of Mr C’s most recent letters reads as follows:

"I write to request your prayers for my youngest daughter who, despite her poor health,  was chosen to attend one of the prominent secondary schools in Malawi.  To me it is a miracle to see God’s grace being shown to us, even after she tested positive for a deadly disease!  Why is grace shown to her when I am not even certain of her future?  Because God knows her future!  God is so merciful to the sick and vulnerable.

Please be a friend to her.  I am so glad that at the age of 13 she received the Lord as her personal Saviour and that she accepts her condition.  I believe that all is well with her, because she walks with God.  What God has done for her is indeed a great testimony that Jesus lives.

In a special way, I thank the presenters and broadcasters of all the night programmes on Trans World Radio.  May God bless all who work at TWR who have been praying with me.  I am who I am, because God allowed people like you to share with me and be a part of my personal problems.  I am still surprised when I see how God has wonderfully and abundantly blessed me.  To Him be glory for ever and ever.

Please don’t forget to send Dr Richard Bennett’s book to my daughter, she will be so surprised by this gift.  It is my prayer that God will help her achieve all her dreams."
