Africa Challenge is a series of programmes produced in several languages under the umbrella of Save A Generation. The primary goal of Africa Challenge is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and providing a biblical foundation in matters pertaining to the family, parenting, education, business and free enterprise, agriculture, health, hygeine and other topics of importance to the listeners.

This programme has been very successful in east and central Africa where instruction in life skills is scarce and agricultural skills are at a minimum. Trans World Radio receives regular correspondence from listeners who have been helped through the programmes and have found the God of creation.

The programme generally follows a magazine format, but the content changes from language to language and country to country to meet the specific needs of the people in these countries. The expertise of Christian professionals is often called upon to provide valuable information to under-resourced parts of the continent. Programme producers receive letters from the listeners and factor these into their programmes, answering the questions that people really are asking.

Another aspect of Africa Challenge presents the love of Christ in a very practical way in Kenya.Kenya faces a deepening humanitarian and ecological crises. Deforestation in this country not only contributes to the problem of global warming, as it does elsewhere, but the consequences of cutting down the forests will is resulting in soil erosion and arid land. This will have a rippling effect on Kenya's ability to farm successfully and provide food for its people. In many parts of Kenya where trees are cut down for fuel for cooking, Trans World Radio provides solar powered cookers and a programme that not only teaches people how to use these cookers but also presents the Gospel.

Homeless children are a growing problem in Africa. Family violence, abuse of alcohol and drugs, war and death of not only parents, but also the extended family due to HIV/AIDS, are contributing factors. Trans World Radio is making a difference in Kenya through social involvement in schools of compassion and an orphanage. Here children not only receive a roof over their heads but also an education and the Gospel of Jesus Christ though the caring ministry of teachers and house parents.

Africa Challenge has been welcomed by so many people in so many countries. The response has often been overwhelming. This is truly a ministry reaching millions.
